Mohanlal completes his military training...

Mohanlal completes his three day Military training program at the 122 Infantry Battalion unit. He joined the battalion for his post-commission training required on his being commissioned as Honorary Lieutenant Colonel. Mohanlal was trained in the use of assault rifle and light machine gun, and other infantry arms belonging to the Indian Small Arms System. He also attended a civic function hosted to honor the battalion.

Honorary Doctorate for The Complete Actor

Mohanlal received yet another accolade in the form of a honorary Dlit from Sree Sankracharya Sanskrit University, Kalady, Kerala on March 16th 2010 at the University campus. Mohanlal was given the doctorate for his valuable services to sanskrit by enacting the sanskrit play Karnabharam with godly perfection under the training of Sanskrit pandit Shri. Kavalam Narayana panicker. Oscar winner Shri Resul Pookutty and Sanskrit pandit Prof. M.H. Shastrikal were also handed Doctorates along with Mohanlal.This is for the second time in the past 9 months that The Complete Actor is being honored for making a tremendous mark in his field and a positive impact on the society. In July 2009, he had become the first ever and only actor in the country to be honored with a Lieutenant Colonel rank.

Mohanlal to Support Khadi

Accepting State Industrial Minister Elamaram Kareem's request, Mohanlal has agreed to become the brand ambassador of Khadi. Minister Elamaram Kareem also said that Mohanlal agreed to endorse the Khadi and handloom clothes without any compensation.

Rafi Mecartin next Mohanlal movie " China Town".......

After meeting a debacle trying to screen ‘Love in Singapore’, the director of humorous slapsticks, Rafi and Mecartin are getting ready to shoot for another Mohanlal film.

Titled 'China Town', this movie will have Kavya Madhavan as the heroine. The movie which will present humour with a little bit of action, will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor in the banner of Aashirwad Films.
